The (Love) Story Behind Magnolia Mae

Magnolia Mae was built out of many things, but most importantly it was built out of love. Edna Mae, my great-grandmother, and her husband Paul were the definition of what a long-lasting, successful marriage should look like. They were married on May 8th, 1937 and they celebrated over 50 years of love together.

I grew up in the south and I am a firm believer in “southern charm”! I think a magnolia flower is the perfect representation of that very thing. Every flower has a meaning. It just so happens that magnolias are believed to have existed from the beginning of time, and symbolize endurance, longevity, and perseverance - something that was a foundation of Edna and Paul’s marriage.

The biggest foundation block of Magnolia Mae is love. Love comes in all shapes and sizes, but the only thing that really matters is that it is true and can endure anything.
